Emily Teffer

My name is Ms. Emily and Early Childhood Education is my passion! Ninety percent of a child's brain is developed by age 5, having already made millions of connections from exploring and experimenting with the world around them. Research shows that high quality early childhood education has a lasting impact on an individual's social/emotional and academic life well into adulthood. It is a joy to guide our littlest learners through this important time! I have been teaching at the Pre-K grade level since 2008, after having earned my Bachelor's in Education, as well as a separate Bachelor's in Writing and Linguistics from UNO in 2007. In my free time, I love exploring Nebraska and the midwest through road trips and hiking, making connections with loved ones, adventurous vegetarian cooking, and consuming as much art--visual, written word, and music--as I can get my hands on.
